MBE FITS is the MBE Worldwide call for ideas, designed to involve in our evolution process the Group community, made by Mail Boxes Etc., Postnet, Alphagraphics, PACK & SEND and Multicopy joining a common path towards innovation. The MBE People (Entrepreneurs, Centres’ staff members and Corporate Staff) are asked to share their challenges, missed opportunities and innovative ideas to help our Group to evolve and be ready for the future. The participation of the Network and the HQ Staff is the MBE FITS ingredient that generates innovation, improving our daily grind and allowing us to serve our customers better and better.

The funnel process

MBE FITS is a process based on a funnel structure. The process works as a funnel as it begins by collecting a considerable number of interesting inputs and suggestions provided by the Network or coming from Corporate Staff members of MBE Worldwide, with the best ideas selected. Some of these contributions are further developed into solutions and officially presented to the Global Innovation Committee.

1. How would you improve MBE's e-commerce offering/solutions?

Having considered our current e-commerce solutions, develop improvements to the existing platforms, (national or global), or propose new easy, flexible and user-friendly solutions, to help businesses grow their sales. This topic aims to find new e-commerce solutions for Pack & Ship, Print & Marketing and Mailbox Rental business segments, by considering a customer or potential customer's needs and demographics.


2. How would you develop a commercial strategy for retaining business customers, considering service levels, pricing strategy and churn reduction?

Onboarding a new customer is somewhere between 5x and 25x more expensive than retaining a customer, (e.g. resources on marketing, sales, customer training etc.). While an effective pricing strategy is key for customer acquisition, by reducing customer churn (lost customers) by just 5%, can potentially improve profits by more than 25% (and up to +95%). Additionally long-standing customers are more willing to make referrals or leave favourable reviews. By identifying the elements which lead to lost customers, and incorporating systems to improve retention, the life value of each business customers is increased. Other benefits include extracting greater return from the prospecting process, and having structured procedures for customer feedback.


3. How can we increase the appeal of MBE, and better meet the needs of Larger / Multi-national companies?

Finding innovative and strategic ways to target Multi-national companies and their need for outsourced services; and enhance the appeal of the MBE Group network as a whole (nationally or globally). This plays a key role for further increasing of brand awareness and expansion of the MBE customer portfolio.

4. How can MBE utilise digital solutions to achieve excellence and improve processes in every-day business?

Consider your day-by-day activities and those tasks which could benefit from a streamlined and integrated approach through leveraging new digital tools and applications. Share your ideas aimed at making daily business easier and faster in your centre(s), or to increase your competitiveness in the market. (i.e. tell us what currently is missing and/or what can be improved in the approach to customers, and the interface with suppliers etc.) Also consider ways for new and/or improved communications and 'touchpoints' that strengthen those crucial links between the Network and Corporate staff and within the Network itself.


5. Please suggest other proposals to improve our business, in the Pack & Ship, Print & Marketing, and Mailbox Rental areas

Adopting Canva (https://www.canva.com/en_gb/) to help expand Print & Marketing sales by adding a design tool, represents just the latest example coming from the 2020 edition of MBE FITS. But as a Group we are always in search of innovative or potential game changing products and services addressing, or anticipating, the needs of business customers of any size. They also represent a precious resource for those who adopt them, or who want to be involved in growing the Print & Marketing business segment in their centre. MBE SalesSpeak is the CRM platform that supports the daily operations of MBE Centres. MBE SalesSpeak represents the unique access point to find data, purchased services and revenue associated with every Centre’s customers, in order to support them in their daily business activities and, at the same time, generate new interesting opportunities for the development of the Centre.

Canva has been selected as the Drag-and-Drop Design Tool for PostNet Centres. The product addresses a big part of the gap in design resources/expertise. It also simplifies and streamlines the front-end design process for print products. It was launched in the PostNet network in 2021 and is making a significant impact for centres who are implementing the solution in their day-by-day operations.

MBE SafeValue is an all-in-one solution for packing, shipping and coverage against damage or loss. It is an exclusive MBE service that covers the real value of goods and shipping costs paid by the customers. MBE SafeValue can serve companies or private individuals that need to ship valuable items with professional packaging, adequate shipping solutions and all-risk coverage.

MBE e-LINK

MBE e-LINK is the plug-in that supports MBE Centre’s customers in the e-commerce selling process. MBE e-LINK represents a unique connection point, with an easy and fast installation, between customers’ e-commerce websites and MBE Centres that allows to generate automatic shipments equipped with labels and tracking numbers.
